Three Colors: Blue
„Freedom is not having to love”
This French-Polish-Swiss masterpiece offers a unique glimpse into the mind of a grieving woman, and I was truly amazed by it.
Kieslowski’s use of the color blue is captivating, shaping the film’s emotional landscape and when paired with the film’s beautiful, distinctive soundtrack and subtle camera movements, it becomes an unforgettable experience.
While I wish the film had a slightly longer running time, it only made me more eager to explore Kieslowski’s other works, especially the remaining films in the Three Colors trilogy.
The story is intriguing, heartbreaking, and thought-provoking. I can’t recommend it enough.
