temu carrie white was fun, and i like seeing Jason kill the most unlikable and forgettable people in movie history.

I’m currently watching both A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th for Halloween, and Dream Warriors has been a breath of fresh air after a string of mostly mediocre or downright bad Friday the 13th movies (Part VI innocent). Dream Warriors has a cool soundtrack and a really fun cast of characters, with Kincaid being a particular highlight. He steals every scene he’s in. I’m also really happy Heather Langenkamp is back. I enjoyed *Freddy’s Revenge*, but this installment makes it clear just how much Nancy was missed. I particularly enjoyed all the kills and effects in this one. Freddy has finally reached that perfect balance between goofiness and horror, making him entertaining without losing what makes him scary. The idea of the characters becoming this universe’s equivalent of the X-Men is also really campy, but it works phenomenally well. It’s a good balance with the film’s dark subject matter and tone. Just a really fun time all around. Don’t like it more than the first one, but it’s pretty damn close

FUCKING FINALLY A GOOD ONE
