I still remember the first time I saw it was because Reasors Video Rental had it on VHS and there was a big PG sticker on the front despite the back clearly saying R. And I got bored like 20 minutes in and couldn’t tell what was going on, but I thought it seemed cool.  I remember I ended up watching it I think with my dad not long after? and seeing it on TV on starz or hbo or something and not a small CRT plugged into a vhs I was just absolutely mesmerized by everything going on and especially with the atmosphere and how damp everything is. These movies are so damp and sweaty and humid and idk why but it adds to the tension and helps immerse me in these films. Theres even small details that I pick up on after repeat viewings that totally went by the wayside and sometimes things I don’t notice at all but are pointed out like Lambert seemingly being space scifi trans. That’s fucking wild. I love this movie and this franchise with a passion and I will always be thankful for whoever put that that shit on there. Fr they my goat happy Halloween fuckers 👻
