Lady Bird

Bro this shit killed me. Didn’t really know much about the movie going in, if I had maaaaybe would have held off on it. Literally about to move out 😭 I related to this a lot. The mom bar for bar said things my mom has said to me. The dad reminded me of my father in some ways. But mainly related to Lady Bird and the mother. I’ve literally tried to jump out of car like that dude wtf. My story is definitely less optimistic and less bookended but I guess that’s because my life doesn’t have an hour and a half runtime. The scenes with the mother, her just wanting some form of validation. Her apologizing for going against her mother applying for a college and getting in. Her mom tempering her expectations at every turn but in a way that broke her down instead of prepared her for disappointment. Shit broke my heart 🥺  Also i like the catholic nuns watching girls dance like HRMMMMMMM you got room for Jesus? I cry
