A Clockwork Orange
The second time is more amazing than the first. I need to read the book.
I really enjoy how this film looks at free will, how it portrays that having free will and using it to be evil is significantly better than your free will being stolen by the state and you acting “good” without choice as it gives no room for honest change. Despite the choices made being evil, it is human nature to have free will and to be in control of your own actions. It looks at how cutting corners to true restoration and redemption is NOT the answer as in the film it leads Alex to attempt suicide rather than to have zero choice in his actions, them being good but still suffering anyway.
What i took from this film is that it is best to dig inside if you want to truly be better, cut no corners, make hard decisions and try your best with good intentions.
Sorry if this sounds like nonsense i am terrible at putting my thoughts into sentences.
