From the first episode, I was completely captivated by Anya Taylor-Joy’ mesmerising performance as Beth Harmon,a complex and fiercely intelligent chess prodigy. I don’t even like chess lol. The series beautifully captures Beth’s struggle with addiction and her relentless pursuit of excellence in a male dominated world.What sets it apart from the other is attention to detail.The costumes,set design,and cinematography all work together to create a rich and immersive atmosphere that transports you back to the 1950s and 60s.The chess sequences are thrilling and suspenseful, even for me who doesn’t know much about the game at all.
