HOLY ANIMATIONbut not lesbian enough for me. needs improvement

i lot more racist than i thought it would be based off the hype, exactly as misogynistic as i thought it would be tho

JAR JAR BINKS MENTION AT 52:53 OH MY GOD EXSQUEEZE MEi have mixed opinions about this film: i do love this whole thing going on about questioning your beliefs and i've always said this would be a great horror concept, but this film does accidentally create kind of a paradox (?). the victims are two blind believers of mormonism, which was obviously chosen because that's the easiest religion to point out corruption and "plotholes" within it's doctrine among western audiences. so it seems this film is attempting to expose this blind willingness to follow misogynistic and flawed teachings, but it makes the abuser the person who is most willing to question those beliefs. the "evil" in this case is someone who has spent an extraordinary amount of effort examining theology and criticizing man made religious hierarchies. but disregarding that, the monopoly analogy was interesting as well as the hollies vs radiohead point and there were so many interesting themes touched on that make the audience actually reflect, which is incredibly unique for modern films tbh. but what wins some points is how ambiguous it all is. and then what loses a lot of points is how we lose the plot in the third act. but either way this just proved again how good of an actress sophie thatcher is
