Alien: Romulus

This movie had an amazing atmosphere, felt very nostalgic, tapping into that old star wars and alien feel with the cinematography. Movie was visually great, love the use of the practical effects as well; however the story and acting are a bit underwhelming. The characters deaths felt quite brushed over, many of them not being mentioned again after the fact. I also found the exploration into anatomy kinda weird, like everything about the Xenomorph life cycle just looked like a vagina or penis. Xenomorph forehead just looks like a massive penis, it was especially weird when they hatched from the very vaginal looking cocoon. Like when Bjorn died, it look like he got in the splash zone of a creampie and couldn’t handle it. Ending felt quite unresolved. Overall, this movie will have you at the edge of your seat throughout, if you are not too fussed about the story, this movie still holds up as a visually great suspenseful thriller.
