September 5
Watched it on the plane to England like 5 months ago, forgot I had this written in my notes because I couldn’t use letterboxd on the plane.
Good build up, colour grading/tone, don’t need knowledge in the industry. Like how they don’t show the action right away to base it more in reality, doesn’t take away from the thriller instead of just being an action
Was nervous that they’d be a long build up to the hostage scenes but I like that we learn information from the characters perspective and pacing as well
Not too sure how I feel about someone being able to sneak into a active terrorist situation using a fake id and a tracksuit but who knows
The juxtaposition of the active situation going on and the reporters caring so heavily on getting the right shot is really eye opening
Morals and ethics; do you show this stuff live so people know but also give the terrorists what they want with the coverage
The amount of emotional shock they were able to build and release without even being introduced to any of the hostages, the absolute heartbreak when Jim got the memo through his earpiece, like Clinton getting word of 9/11
