Weapons
Scary, funny, sad and sickening;
This film is a phenomenal use of non-linear storytelling; with each new character’s perspective building and flowing into each other, allowing the audience to slowly piece everything together. From the red paint in Archer’s truck to James seeing the basement, this movie has you hooked trying to figure out what happens.
When Alex’s name popped up on screen; introducing his chapter, I was so invested to see how this missing piece of puzzle would fold out. Gladys is such an amazing villain, blending the real world horrors with the supernatural that is just truly disturbing. The uncanny look on the faces of everyone getting fed on by Gladys was so well done, the bulging, unblinking eyes and swelled faces was so booky to look at.
Easily the best film of the year thus far and is making me eager to check out Cregger’s work
