Silence

Unsurprisingly there is so much to unpack from this movie.The journey Andrew Garfield’s character Rodriguez goes through is a true testament to show the strength and power in god and people belief in him, I for one am not religious but to see what people are willing to go through to protect their beliefs is actually quite inspiring. I’ve always felt this way but this movie just further cements the idea that Martin Scorsese is the GOAT and by quite some margin in my opinion. The way he creates tension without needing any type of music or score in the background is unreal. Not only is this such a compelling story but Scorsese doesn’t use that as an excuse to be lazy with the other filmmaking techniques and remains consistent ensuring the cinematography and everything else is spot on and creative.  Shout out to Andrew Garfield he acted his socks off in this really great performance.
