Avengers: Infinity War

The Gold Standard of comic book movies. Not to sound cheesy but this movie is perfectly balanced as all things should be. The Russo Brothers do a great job balancing character development, plot pacing, with that patented MCU action, which isn’t an easy feat seeing the massive scale of this movie. This movie works so well because rather than making the Avengers the protagonists of the film like the previous installments of the franchise it instead focuses on Thanos to fully flesh out his motivations. Thanos is an achievement in itself as he is a fully CGI character who you never once doubt is actually in the room with the other characters. All in all it’s not even fair to compare other comic book movies to Infinity War as it has done what The Dark Knight, Logan, and Black Panther have all done before it and has transcended the genre and isn’t only a fantastic comic book movie, but is a great movie in general that even though if you know the comics and know how it I’ll end it still hits you square in the gut and leaves you speechless.
