*Film number 1000!!!! * I can’t believe this was made in the 50s… The swing scene is literally the saddest thing I’ve ever seen. Akira Kurosawa is the best director to ever do it. The amount of emotion Takashi Shimura shows in this with just his facial expressions… Peak Cinema and my favourite Kurosawa film so far….
