This is a weird movie. I don’t know if I liked it all that much. The CGI is genuinely hard to look at and its ever present so most of this movie is genuinely just unpleasant visually.

I have nothing to say about this. Just that it’s bad. Really really bad. Fuck you Scott Waugh.

Victor Salva has made four (4) feature length movies since being exposed for raping a child in 2006. I have raped zero (0) children and have made zero (0) feature length films since being born 1998. Is Hollywood trying to tell me something? Movie is ok.

Shannyn Sossaman’s second most evil performance after cheating on Jack Black in The Holiday. Milly Shapiro is great, she hasn’t done much post Hereditary but she’s very likable and fun here. She has that “the MCU will come with a contract soon” factor. Conceptually I like the idea of I Am Legend but with a halloween obsessed young girl and drug addicted cannibals instead of vampire zombies. But the sound design was terrible in my opinion, none of the violence has any punch. The title is reflective of the film itself, I see what they’re going for, and it kind of works but it never really comes together. I think the budget wasn’t there because the home invasion element takes up a pretty small section of the film.
