Apocalypse Now

Heart of darkness if Marlow had a helicopter and a raging hangover.  In all seriousness though, this is such an important movie. It’s less about war and more about how detached we can be, losing yourself in the abyss that looks back at you. Coppola turns Conrad’s novella into something surreal, it’s messy, hypnotic, and somehow still so sharp.
