Interstellar
"Tell him Murph. Make him stay. Make... Make him stay, Murph. Make him stay, Murph! Don't let me leave, Murph! Don't, don't let me leave Murph! NO, NO, NO, NO!"
IMAX has ruined Interstellar for me. I physically cannot watch it in any other format. Like, even thinking of casually watching it on my TV makes me sick.
I just loveeee everything about this movie. The cinematography? Hoyte van Hoytema should have won Best Cinematography back in 2015. Soundtrack? I cannot believe that HANS ZIMMER lost to The Grand Budapest Hotel out of all movies. Interstellar in general? I was so upset when I realised Christopher Nolan did not receive either Best Picture or Best Director during the 2015 Oscars.
And that docking scene. No words. It is just so beautiful and seeing it on an IMAX screen again made me love it so much more.
Bar the awards, nothing and I mean NOTHING, will ever come close to the scene where Matthew McConaughey is checking for Murph under the pile of coats in his truck whilst he is leaving. That? Just give him his honorary Oscar now. No other actor could have pulled that off, and I mean that VERY respectfully.
"I love you, forever. You hear me? I love you forever. And I'm coming back. I'm coming back."
