This film deserves all the love and appreciation it gets. Del toros cinematography was beautifully done and not once does it overshadow Mary Shelley's original novel, instead they complement one another to the point where if one were to hear "Frankenstein" the idea of both the novel and movie would be evoked in one's mind. The part of the film that encaptivated me the most was being able to see victor's inner conflict. He brings a creature into this world who possess more soul, empathy, and humanity than he does. A monster creates a being more human than its maker.
