Intentional or not this carries the spirit of 60s - 80s sci-fi better than anything else I’ve seen in the contemporary era of film. It has that some vague philosophical approach to sci-fi characterised by many of the famous short stories and novels that are now all time classics even exploring the core theme of “what is consciousness” beloved by many stories of that era. This all is propelled by the gorgeous synth soundtrack and striking art style that really is so impressive when considering the size of the team behind it.
