DumbLand

This short film can be watched here: DumbLand (2002) This is just the first of eight, the rest can be found on YouTube and will come up if you go to this first one. Through my Friendwatch Short Films Project, I have now watched at least a dozen of David Lynch's short films. I have not loved any of them and most of them I actually disliked. By choice, I have watched all of David Lynch's feature films. He is a genius and one of the great directors of his generation. So, I just can't figure out what is going on with the shorts. My guess is that he is just getting all his strange friends together and cranking out some film stuff for fun, not worrying about what people think. Most people would keep these projects in their drafts--but not David. He's putting them out there for the world to see. Honestly, I've seen 5th graders do flip books with better animation and funnier humor. At least he nailed the title. What is your game Mr. Lynch?
