“𝒴𝑜𝓊’𝓇𝑒 𝒶 𝒻𝓁𝑜𝓌𝑒𝓇. 𝒪𝓃𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝒶 𝓀𝒾𝓃𝒹” Wow, Just wow. This film was something I didn’t except, it’s so raw and emotionally hard on you that at parts you can’t even cry, you just sit there in pure silence being absolutely torn apart by the sheer weight of the scene you’re watching. This film did itself so perfectly that it’s surreal, the unrealistic yet so realistic dialogue, the outstanding cinematography, the music choices, just everything about it, it did perfectly. The mud/paint symbolism is easily one of my favourite pieces of symbolism ever. Sumida’s destructive nature and the impact of an abusive parent is something this film did so perfectly in my opinion. It’s truly something you never forget
