Sinners

Very few times are there movies that can capture what makes Cinema a format that’s timeless. This films heart and story is so prevalent and ingrained throughout that you can’t seem to look away as you feel you may miss details. Michael B Jordan has proved once again that his work can be put up against some of the greats and why he stands among hollywoods brightest.Providing such a strong performance for twins that you can subtly tell the character work he has put into both is timeless and deserves a Oscar Nomination . The women in this movie are so powerful and deeply rooted in this story that they all contribute in such beautiful moments that it feels like no matter if it’s Wunmi,Hailee,Li, or Jayme you know the scene is about to be stolen. Delroy Lindo is amazing once again as he has proven time and time again he is a voice that has been heard for generations and one that will continue to be heard because he is just that good. Miles Caton a young man that was the standout to me in his first acting role. Miles in every scene his character is in frame or involved in makes it feel important and makes you have to watch just how good this man is. His singing and character work is beautiful. Jack O’Connell what beautiful terrorizing villain with such deep cuts in not only his approach as a villain but in just how cunning and sly he truly is by the ending of this movie. Ryan Coogler a man with endless talents who provides the cinema with an original story with heart and storytelling that is utterly beautiful in every aspect from dialogue to cinematography he touches souls in the way you didn’t think is possible. I commend Ryan and the whole creative team behind this thank you once again for proving why Cinema and Movies do exist.
