Before I Fall
I see a lot of reviews saying "white girl has to go through all that to learn basic empathy", to me, I don't believe the movies meaning is THAT shallow. On the surface the story is easy to follow, yet the film isn’t just about becoming "nicer", to me it's about confronting how social pressure and silence trap people into causing harm without even realizing it and how you can't always undo that harm with one kind gesture, you can only learn to take responsibility for it and choose to do whats right, even if it takes a week long groundhog day experience to figure that out.
