Roma
Seeing this in theaters in Mexico City with good friends might be why I cherish it so much, but I truly admire every detail of Alonso’s storytelling. It’s a must-watch, beautiful, captivating, and challenging.
It captures the essence of growing up in a Mexican household, and even as a Mexican American who grew up between Arizona and Sonora, miles and decades away from Roma in Mexico City in the early 70s, it resonates deeply.
