Boy, I can't believe I almost skipped this in the chronological rewatch. I thought: "Oh man, I've seen Alien plenty of times, no need to waste my time". But as corny as it sounds, I've watched Alien but never really appreciated how beautiful some of the shots are. For instense I love when Dallas first goes to talk with mother, the layout of the room just fits perfectly within the frame. Though I will say, with how far I've gotten in my saga, Alien Earth added nothing to my understanding of the Xenomorph species or story overall, the movies. But the most confusing piece I'm left with is, where the fuck did that water come from when Brett was looking for Jonesy?!?

Those pigeons deserve the blood of those fuck ass kids. This movie is on the verge of becoming another star for me. On a rewatch, it could easily get 4.5 or 5 stars.

I kinda hated this, typa movie someone who calls themselves an intellectual would have on their top four while simultaneously trashing every other superhero movie in existence saying something like “it’s not complex enough for me”. Like come on bruh Dr. Manhattan you ain’t tuff with your uncut piglet out bro, and the disrespect on Rorschach the last thing he probably saw was Manhattans blue nut hairs ☹️.

I’ve decided to watch all the Alien movies chronologically, this was a first time watch. I may come back and change the rating but I enjoyed all the fun kills, I just have no idea what any of it means for the continuity 🤓.
