Big Fish
Despite some of the film’s outdated perspectives on a few elements, especially regarding the treatment of women in the film, it still manages to be a plenty charming story about the importance of storytelling, and the power of imagination. This was one of the most heartful and inspirational films I’ve seen in a good while, and well worth the watch. Ewan Mcgreggor was fantastic in the role, but the actor for the older version of the character did not quite feel like the same person. Overall, the film was well made, and had several strong messages throughout, that stick with you after the credits roll. Very solid film.
