Love Actually

It does slightly pain me to say it took me 18 years gracing this planet before i watched such a Christmas classic, despite my grandad watching at least once a week. However, after finally watching it front to back, I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Did I like it to the extent of watching it ever week? No. Did I still have a great old time watching it? Absolutely. There’s an astonishing amount of accomplished actors in this film, and all of them are pretty great in it. Some of the storylines stood out to me much more than others, and I believe some of them could have been cut for time, I still enjoyed every scene and storyline.  There is also some odd glamourisation of cheating throughout, which the film does lose a few points for, but overall the film was full of heart and made me genuinely smile several times.  Very solid Christmas flick, will likely rewatch every few years
