The Dark Knight
A solid sequel that has much higher highs than its predecessor but also lower lows. The joker and two face were both incredibly written villains, but Batman himself felt less interesting this time around, and the stupid voice he was doing was really really annoying.
I feel like the film was definitely overhyped, it wasn’t the best film I’ve ever seen by a long shot, but it was enjoyable and very well made, with Nolan clearly having respect for the source material.
Alfred continues to be the best character.
It didn’t really feel as “Batman” as the previous film, which I think is a detriment, but it had a few scene that were incredible that do make up for that, so overall I’ll put it about the same level.
The ending also feels like an interesting set up for rises…
