The Dark Knight Rises

I liked this one, more than most people by the looks of it. I can’t believe it took until the third movie to get a proper batcave, but alas, it was nice to finally have it. Alfred was my favorite part of the film by far, and I very nearly cried when he left.  Bane was really threatening, Tom hardy played him very well, but the twist with Talia felt unearned. I think the first half of this one was a lot better and it fell apart a bit towards the end, but I think it was the most fun of the trilogy. It felt like a proper Batman story, despite Bruce not getting much Batman time in this one. I’ve never been against taking the hero’s suit away though, I like iron man 3 for similar reasons.  The take on Robin was interesting, I think if they’d just fully committed to making him Dick Grayson and spent more time with him, it would’ve worked better, especially if he’d become nightwing at the end of the film.  Overall, a solid conclusion to the trilogy that doesn’t really wrap things up in a neat bow, it allows the mind to wonder what could happen next, and I like that.
