An emotional, really funny and heart warming message to broken people
Yeah, what a film huh...
Jim did a excellent job here. Sending a message to all unconventional people out there, saying to all of them that everything will be alright. Don’t matter what life tries to take away from you, if you don’t give up, it will always get back on track.
Cummings wrote a super funny, character driven drama film, in which he doesn’t hide the flaws and the instability of the protagonist, but still manages to make the character extremely likable.
Sometimes it reminded me of Sean Baker’s movies. A real, urban and common ambient, being elevated by a really dramatic story. The direction is on point, knowing when to push for comedic purposes and when to blend drama as well on the mixture. The performances were really good too. And the cinematography is standard for the modern age movies.
Awesome film. The director followed me on Twitter so, I’m really happy about it (had to mention it here) and eager to watch more movies of his.
