Really wacky and wildly creative

At first this felt like a four to five star. The funeral all the way to the initial deadite fight with the guy from Wednesdays girlfriend was so fucking good, but then the movie just kept going. And going and going and going. Toooooo long that it lost all of the steam in the beginning. It was unrelenting and scary and disgusting until it was repetitive and boring. I still enjoyed it but I wish it was better.

*This review may contain spoilers.* I am a BIG fan of the comic this is based off of. The comic is, of course, much better, but when you separate the fact that this is a movie adaptation, this turns out to be a very fun and heartfelt film. Milly Alcok devoured the role of Kara! Truly so so so amazing to watch. I liked the ending a lot, and I kept thinking “further down the line of this universe when people start dying, it’s going to hurt”. For the bad, I didn’t love Lobo. Kind of a pointless add in. And the fact the he saved Supergirl in her own movie was weeeeird. However, they redeemed themselves by having a trafficked girl kill that one brigand. Plus I loved seeing Supergirl kill Krem. YES! But the needle drop while she did so wassss strange. Bad song. Anyway, fye. I understand the grievances but it’s a fun time with a good message.

AND YOU MADE ME LOOOOOOSSSSEEEEEE MYYY SELF CONTROOOLLLL MYYYY SELLLLFF CONTROOOOOLL any queer person will greatly appreciate and understand this movie. Straight people, you may not get it, so fuck off but still watch this
