The Wicker Man
THIS is how you make a horror movie that explores religious conflict. It’s not the Conjuring type of religious horror that uses crosses and demons for jump scares but rather a film that leaves you genuinely stunned, perplexed, and contradicted regarding a multitude of religious themes. On top of that the visuals were stunning, the score was both eerie and eccentric, and the performances were really fucking good. More Folk horror please.
