First saw this in 5th grade, brought my family together when things got tough and stayed tough, wrote my college essay on how ellen ripley taught me women can be badass and caring and maternal all at once. If they meant to create a subtextually feminist satire of the military-industrial complex they succeeded, and if all they wanted was to blow up and shoot some xenomorphs, they succeeded.
