Glee
I never expected to get invested in a satire about a high school show choir, but this show attached itself to my mind like a parasite. The characters are all more complex than they appear on the surface, and in early seasons, the show often does effective, cheeky social commentary.
It definitely went downhill as the seasons went on, and its social commentary became less satirical and more poor and on the nose, but I still enjoyed how unhinged the later seasons were. In particular, I liked the season 4 New York plot.
Overall, I can admit that it’s not objectively the most well written television, but Glee is incredibly entertaining and hilarious.
