So so overrated, for some reason every time Chalamet plays a role, he still sounds like himself—it’s like he’s aware there’s a camera pointed at him, his tone sounds the same as he does in interviews. It’s ridiculous how people thought this deserved an Oscar. A film about an irredeemable character (who is supposed to be charismatic but really isn’t) chasing his dreams of ping pong stardom whilst throwing everyone he knows under the bus for a championship he never ends up partaking in, sure the exhibition was meant to be melodramatic but it just looked nonsensical.
