Never look at others opinions before watching a film. I went in knowing little but that little bit was knowing that others were saying it is a masterpiece. I exceeded my expectations and I still think its an amazing film with a lot of meaning. But I had to look at analyzes and commentaries. Maybe its me not understanding german and I forget what subtitles say sometimes. Instead of looking at what amazed me or got me hooked, I thought about all the things I didnt like, and there wasn't. The acting and diolog is phenomenal. The ending left me confused because Im not used to films ending instantly. But we can already tell that "we've won, but at what cost". I think that the concept is also great, someone that goes so far that even criminals would catch on. The foreshadowing, pacing, sets, cinematography, emotional resonance are all great. This film deserves a five stars especially for when it was made, although It might be lower for me on my favorites, but who knows, maybe in a year Ill realize this is the best film ive seen
