Monster
the definition of "monster," is probably what i love the most in this movie.
society thinks people like yori and minato are the monsters, many people often label countless individuals like them as an abomination. there's so much cruelty of a world that often demands conformity and suppresses authenticity. but as for me, the true monster are those people who deprived others of happiness, freedom, equality, and love.
i can't fathom the weight of carrying a secret that society deems unacceptable. it's crushingly painful, leading many to hide their true selves and pretend to be someone they're not, that's such a heavy burden to bear.
the shared experiences of pain and isolation that's shown by yori and minato created a powerful bond between them. simply, it reminds us that there is hope to be found in the company of others who understand, amidst all the suffering and darkness the world offers us.
