Sinners

genuinely the best movie of 2025. it was just so perfectly thought through, from the historical context to the religious and mythical imagery. i loved every minute and the acting was INCREDIBLE.  the jukejoint scene is definitely one my favourite cinematic scene ever, like how it showed the linear evolution of black music. even the inclusion of the irish and chinese culture was a perfect touch. i loved the villain being an irish vampire who wanted to unite the oppressed minority since they were oppressed too. also adding the KKK in to remind people that even with slavery ending there was still hate crimes, Jim Crow law, sundown towns as well as not even being treated as anything but a slave.  i just loved it a lot.
