Hamnet
This film made me feel like I was living the entirety of the human experience at its core, all while Max Richter’s heartbreaking score played, ensuring that you feel every raw emotion shown on the screen. Thinking about the final scene reminded me of Stellan Skarsgård’s Golden Globes speech about sharing the pulse with other people, the magic created within the shared experience that only happens at the cinema. I believe this film embodies that feeling. It’s a beautifully tragic work of art that I won’t ever watch again.
What is grief, if not love persevering?
