Weird for a film that aims to cure the patients, to end up changing nothing for the war for those characters, or maybe that's the point.

Tense. I was very tense. The last 30 minutes or so are electric, chaotic and grotesque. The quietest scenes are very strong, but they never led to anything big that I was anticipating. The effects are great at most points, sometimes it’s a tad rough but it holds up. There’s a lot of very creative work going on here but it’s mostly a stand alone origin that has not placement in the current DC timeline, which I would have hoped for. I also did really enjoy the direction of the original animated series they went at the end, that excited me to see. Overall some fun, gross, scary shit, a great October release and comic movie. On rewatch my opinion doesn't change much so I'm not rerating it. I did notice multiple continuity issues in scenes this time but I also enjoyed Michael Fassbender's performance a lot more now understanding the german beforehand, so it balances out. Great film. Too bad it's Tarantino.
