I love *Killers of the Flower Moon *PG edition. Also, shout out to this film for making me root for a straight relationship for the first time since I watched *The Bear 💕*

Nah this was as good as it was going to get. Don’t get me wrong *Wicked* is a banger musical, and while the second half isn’t bad it’s not good enough to have a stand alone movie. If they needed to split it up in two parts, I hate to say it but I need them to diverge from the source material. We’re going to need more build-up and tension, and lowkey I need Elphaba to be more bat-shit evil and insane. This is no diss to Cynthia (MY ICON) but I really want to see an actress to really commit to the wicked witch side of the character. Like how cool would it be that Elphaba descends into madness and villainy because of her commitment to goodness, while Glinda maintains her sanity at the expense of the people around her. Also I hated how Glinda never got the accountability she deserved at the end. In my opinion, Glinda being instantly forgiven by the animals and being able to read the spell book at the end (I forget the name of it, oops) removes the tragedy of the character, as she is forced to live a lie for the rest of her life in return for respect and adoration. She maintains the systems because it is what’s stable for her, though she lives in numbness because all her true loved. I dunno this is such a chaotic brain dump, so take this with a grain of salt.

Okay…..this film is objectively cool as fuck but also is incredibly anti-black and depicts violence and sexual assault towards women in such a tasteless violative manner that it makes it difficult to rate this film as high as I was hoping to. Also straight male directors should stay five feet away from lesbians at all times please and thank you.
