꩜   can a heart still break once it’s stopped beating ? this movie undoubtedly has some flaws within the plot and the writing, but it is also just so beautiful. i can easily look past the flaws because of all the good. sweet, sweet emily does absolutely nothing wrong this entire film. she is one of those characters that you think of when you think of perfect. stop motion is gorgeous and i will forever believe that movies should have effort put into them. this film is also incredibly, gothically funny. there are many moments where i laugh out loud. when a movie can be humorous and still done in a way where it can be pretty and have a point, then it is a film done right. summary: beautiful, humorous, and a good message within. yes, it has flaws. but looking past the flaws is easy when everything else is amazing.
