pretend this review is a funny joke about Timmy c trashing ballet even though he didn’t even trash it and his words have just been misinterpreted. Don’t worry chalamet, I knew what you meant. He probs could’ve worded it better. Actually that whole thing happened like a month ago and here I am making my review about it instead of discussing the movie I just watched so I’m actually a loser. I thought the red shoes was awesome and well ahead of its time. this movie is so old that Kirsten Dunst’s father was two years old when it came out. I will say though that I was not able to access subtitles so I couldn’t understand anything that was said. but I was way more interested in the actual ballet anyway so I didn’t mind.

I got two words for you, Kathryn Newton and Samara Weaving, must see TV!!!! Kathryn Newton is forever my goat so I have a little bias towards this movie. While it probably wasn’t as good as the first, nor did it need to exist, this was still a very fun time. Also guys peep my [review for the first movie](https://boxd.it/6GFhab) because I just knew Kathryn Newton was destined for this franchise.

I’m gonna forget this movie in fourteen minutes from now. but I think it had some good ideas. Never really explained why it went the ways it did. If someone like Zach Cregger or whoever is a good horror director these days wants to remake this and go full hell scary horror mode that this movie kinda ended with. then it would be good. I think in general we need to be making more space horror movies because they’re just guaranteed to be entertaining. Alien Romulus was a good start in bringing the genre back but I don’t see anyone else hopping on the hype train. I’ll have to do it myself.
