Moonrise Kingdom
But sometimes even the smart kids stick their fingers in electrical sockets.
I usually don't say this but I needed this film.
Mentally the last month or so has been the worst month for me ever, I don't want to get into too many details but I fucked up big time and I'm still paying for it everyday and it hurts.
It hurts to constantly to think about how it happened and why it happened, it hurts to be so riddled with guilt about such a situation.
Which is why I needed this film.
This film just felt like a big reminder that "everything gonna be ok" I relate to the characters so deeply and I feel like no film that I have seen has depicted teenagers so realistically and with so much care and passion and the knowledge that teenagers are real people who have their own taughts and belief systems and their not like the shitty stereotypes that are dedicated in "Disney Channel original films" who wanna lay chicks and "find someone to go to prom with."
I said this on my review for bottle rocket (go check that out!) But every Wes Anderson film I watch becomes my new favourite and that point still stands, this man is so awesome and I can't wait to watch more of his work.
