When you’re watching this movie you keep waiting for what’s going to happen in fact it won’t because it happened already. it’s just Sophie filling the gaps by watching the videos of her last vacation with her dad and suddenly she discovered another version of him suffering from pain where her innocent younger self couldn’t recognise beginning with the first scene where she asked him what his 11 years old self would think about him in the 31 he get upset and refused to answer cuz he thought deep inside that he failed as a father not knowing that his daughter was so proud and happy to have him til the point that even the idea of being under the same sky when they’re not together made her pleased. I can’t imagine her pain whenever she remembers the last I LOVE YOU she said to him not knowing he’ll kill himself after. I won’t be excited for summer as usual anymore because I keep thinking about them
