The American Southwest is one of the most alluring and almost mystical places in the world. Vast desert and nothing but mountains and fields, it encapsilates this entourage of emotions, wonder, feelings, and this undescribable familiarity, and true is seen in this film, Paris, Texas. Paris, Texas tells the story of one Travis Henderson as he reunites with and rebuilds a life seemingly lost to him and his Son, Hunter. Blending themes of longing, separation, abuse, addiction, coming of age, rediscovery, and many other subtleties with the mystical and elusive South Texas, allows for a 2 and a half hour mental road trip where you're forced to sit and digest instead of meerly be entertained, these beautiful, painting like still shots and these long emotional monologues feel just so beautiful and all the more real when you take in to account the setting. On a personal note, this movie hit me hard because of the themes expressed and as a resident of South Texas this movie feels incredibly special. It is undoubtly a 10/10 and a beautiful art piece.

Pretty good synopsis not the best delivery The cast was stacked why tf was Christopher walken and Doug from the hangover in this not to mention Mia Farrow!! It was funny tho way better than life during wartime Fuck you Woody Allen

I really liked this one

Barton the Creator Really cool movie I loved how he wouldn’t let dude tell his stories. I loved just loved how they depicted the pretentious self absored writer and I love how this movie shows how nobody really cares and how selfishness and corruption under captitalism kills art. The symbolism was pretty clear all around and I think my favorite part had to be when Barton walks into the detectives reading his supposed magnum opus all for one of the detectives to say “I thought you said you were a writer”. It killed me. John Goodman is such a great guy I love when directors consistently cast the same actors it makes all their movies feel all the more concise and connected. The Coen brothers are awesome I think this has to be my favorite movie from them. Granted I’ve only seen Fargo, The Big Lebowski, and Burn After Reading. I also saw No Country for Old Men, I forget they did that one. And I saw raising Arizona when I was a little kid so that doesn’t count. I gotta rewatch that one actually Barton Fink was just special to me. Great movie I loved it so much I AM A CREATIR THIS IS MY UNIFORM THIS IS HOW I SERVE THE COMMON MAN
