Fellow Travelers
it took me over a year to finish but my god is it worth it.
the final episode didn’t destroy me as much as i thought it would but i cant fault it for that.
the “promise you wont write” “i wont” thing makes me so sad and when Hawk does it to Tim at the end omg.
also Hawk finally being able to except himself after so many years. and when he tells his daughter. SOBBING.
honestly whenever i think about the AIDS memorial quilt i want to cry so that scene was so painful for me.
i also think one of the most painful scenes in that final episode was the one between Marcus and Jerome like omg do not make me cry like that the emotions are too much for me. i fucking love Marcus and Frankie and Jerome and their story like i think the importance of finding queer family is so special to me.
I honestly just think Marcus is such an interesting character and the way he deals with the parts and intersections of his identity is so interesting to me. i can’t speak on whether its accurate but i will say that him and his story line is soooo underrated compared to the main Hawk/Tim story. wonder why that could be /s
part of me feels like it was wayyyy too over sexualised but i just skip all the sex scenes so i don’t notice it too much. i do feel like that they were there to entice people but like ig im not the target audience for that. i’ll take my political drama please and thank you.
