Ran

Kurosawa displayed masterful technical knowledge in this one: amazing epic battles, sublime shots, stunning scenarios and custume design, all of that backed up by great music and beautiful colors; the visuals are insane all the time, I was in awe for how staggering the movie was through the battlefield, a burning castle, windy fields or sandy plains. The story is thrilling, the fall of the Ichimonji due to greediness and betrayal, but also as repercussion for their previous bloodshed all of it seen through the eyes of the three mighty sons and a gone mad father. I must highlight the siege to the first castle, amazing visuals with gory action topped by colorful armies and a doble crossed brother.
