Sicario
"Nothing will make sense for your american ears"
Sicario is a thrilling story with some of the most tense and realistic scenes I've seen. Villeneuve shows once again he's a masterful modern director, capable of telling bleak stories with great professionalism.
Setting aside all the great technical aspects, the story is a look into the Mexican-American relations in safety matters. Mexico, to this day, still has unsafety issues related to the cartels and corruption, and the film portraits this in a realistic -but cinematographic- way. Not only this, but points at the fact that the US has done terrible things to keep the order they want and its partly their fault Latinamerica is as bad as it is now.
