And straight to my favourites🥹 I was of course mostly expecting this film to be peak considering it’s by Waters and about cinema itself, and the somewhat satirical critique of Hollywood commercialisation through extreme cinephilic avant-garde hybrid documentary cinema terrorism is excellent and I loved pretty much every character and, Cecil B demented can be anywhere in my top 6-3. The writing is excellent and hilarious and the pacing is really good. The cinematography is nice but of course not colour of pomegranates or Barry Lyndon level. Overall another peak film by waters.
