Jerrod Carmichael: Rothaniel

One of the most touching comedy specials i’ve ever watched and a genuine five star rating. Instead of the usual tongue in cheek approach, Jerrod Carmichael goes a more intimate route, sharing not only hilarious details but the more sour and somber aspects of his life. Bo Burnham is an incredible director, perfectly getting the intimate, family conversation vibe across through the screen. Carmichael can talk about the saddest shit but still find a way to make it funny, while simultaneously touching on the emotional realness of the topic. I balls to the wall loved this bro.
